VENUE DESCRIPTION The WET® Deck, open from 1st April to 31st October, is unique to W Barcelona. It offers 2 large pool lounges, serving beverage and food daily for up to 300 guests at a time. Innovative cocktail culture and live cooking inspire hotel guests and Barcelona locals alike. WET® Deck by day is the ultimate venue to rest and recover, with full beverage / food service and complimentary amenities. As the sun goes down WET® deck transforms into the ultimate insider destination, featuring exclusive resident and international DJs and electric W Happenings. WET® Deck is a high volume / pressure venue, extremely intensive especially in the peak summer months. The team has over 50 talents, including supervisors, waiters, bartenders and hostesses. Training and coaching are essential to achieve service goals. Operating hours are from 9am to 3am daily. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in F&B supervision, focus on bar management, and a proven track record in team leadership (minimum 30 team members). MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the review and implementation of all policies, procedures and quality standards within the department, utilizing a continuous improvement approach to ensure a high quality, cost effective and customer focused operation. * Coordinate with all applicable departments to ensure the highest level of product and service delivery. * Coordinate and administer operations of the venue. * Guide, train, supervise and direct staff in all operations in your outlet. * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff. * Assign and instruct in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary. * Communicate with guests and talent in a positive and clear manner. Listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information. Remain calm and alert, serving as a role model for your team. * Field customer complaints by conducting thorough researesearch of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions. * Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment. * Schedule staff and allocate product and equipment according to size of function and/or house count. | Requisitos mínimos: | REQUIREMENTS The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Minimum of 3 years experience in leading a restaurant/bar team • Passion for F&B and service • Able to work and deliver results under pressure • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace: Spanish and English (Other languages are desirable) • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel. • Ability to assess/evaluate performance fairly. • Knowledge of hotel and competitive environment • Desire to participate as part of a team. • Good team player • Valid working permit for Spain |
