JOB DESCRIPTION W Barcelona is looking for a strong manager to our the newest venue. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in F&B supervision and Banqueting Operations, with a proven track record in team leadership (in a team of minimum 15 pax). This person will be in charge of the beach restaurant; a venue that will be used for a la carte service as well as banqueting events. MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review all written communication, i.e., resumes, daily/weekly, Banquet Event Orders to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments and enhancements as they relate to restaurant set-ups. * Responsible for the development and maintenance of all policies, procedures and quality standards within the department, utilizing a continuous improvement approach to ensure a high quality, cost effective and customer focused operation. * Coordinate with all applicable departments to ensure the highest level of product and service delivery. * Coordinate and administer operations of the venue. * Guide, train, supervise and direct staff in all operations in your outlet. * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff. * Assign and instruct in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary. * Communicate with guests and talent in a positive and clear manner. Listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information. Remain calm and alert, serving as a role model for your team. * Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions. * Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment. * Develop and implement standard operating procedures for service. * Schedule staff and allocate product and equipment according to size of function and/or house count. |
