Descripción de la oferta: The Investigations Counsel will be responsible for managing, overseeing, conducting and providing legal guidance for investigations into allegations of violations of HP's Standards of Business Conduct ("SBC") and pending government investigations. The Investigations Counsel will report to the Regional Investigations Counsel, EMEA, and will be part of a global team of lawyers and HR professionals managing external and internal investigations throughout the company.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The strongest candidates will have first experience working on investigations and will have some exposure to working in diverse markets. A demonstrated ability to be diplomatic and culturally sensitive but firm when necessary is a key asset for the role. The successful candidate can communicate confidently and effectively in English on business and legal topics.

Moreover, strong project management skills and the ability to plan, lead and even conduct complex investigations personally are required for the role. The successful candidate will also have the demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw reasonable conclusions, communicate clearly, possess excellent writing skills and as a strong team player be able to work well with others at various levels of the organization. As the position requires working across various functions within the company, demonstrated networking and influencing skills are required.

The successful candidate must understand the commercial business environment. In addition, first experience with or understanding of governmental investigations and anti-corruption statutes is preferred. A strong understanding of EU and other data privacy laws will be a differentiator. A litigation background is helpful but not required.

The Investigations Counsel will work closely with the Ethics and Compliance Office, including the VP of Compliance, HP's Anticorruption Counsel and the VP of Internal Audit to identify areas of weaknesses identified in investigations to ensure that appropriate remedial actions are put in place across HP to help prevent repeat violations. The Investigations Counsel will work with others in the Legal Department, global functions and the businesses to ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.


Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Licenciado - Derecho
Experiencia mínima: De 3 a 5 años
Requisitos mínimos: The successful candidate is expected to possess the following qualifications:
A BS or equivalent degree
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent
· 1-2 years of relevant Legal experience; experience as a prosecutor strongly preferred.
· Strong substantive skills in Anti-Corruption (i.e., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other Anti-Corruption statutes).
· Understanding of complex regulations with an ability to communicate to business leaders and employees.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience in reporting to more senior individuals is a positive differentiator.
· Excellent presentation, facilitation, networking and influencing skills.
· Positive attitude
· Potential for people management (desired)
