| Descripción de la oferta: | Our client is a young and dynamic SW company that provides practical, agile and secure solutions for foreign exchange transactions. Based in the UK, the founders, a group of successful European technology entrepreneurs, are confident that the company will be a dominant force in Europe as a FOREX payments provider. The company currently employs over 45 staff with offices in London (commercialisation and operations), Madrid and Malaga (product development). Plans are to expand the commercial operations to Spain and other European countries and to increase the size of the product development team with the aim of enabling a successful commercialisation of its solutions The Head of Engineering will be responsible for EP’s technology team (based in Malaga), reporting to the CEO in London. You`ll be responsible for all aspect of product development and leading various product initiatives, as well as acting as a coordinator of projects across the company. You`ll have an opportunity have a direct impact on the product development from the day you arrive, and visibility to key member of organisation, from the CEO onward. You`ll be expected to be creative, detail-oriented and self-directed in order to be successful in a fast moving environment. The ability to move seamlessly from big picture vision to tracking the minutiae of a product launch is essential. The candidate will be based in Malaga with frequent commuting to London. Responsabilities •Overall responsibility on all aspects of product development. Selection of technology, architecture and software methodology (we are currently running short scrum cycles of 1 week). Ensure that current product can grow and scale and integrate with third party environments in robust and reliable manner. •Act as scrum master and used existing company framework to measure software output, quality of software, output of individual developers, and sprint allocation to company commercial stream. • Overall responsibility to build and manage a growing development team (current team is made of 4 developers with a good mix of front-end and back-end skills). Understand the overall markets in which the company operates, by spending time with customers, colleagues and partners, encapsulate and distil this understanding in relation to the business goals of EP •Work with Business Development team to gather client (and potential client) feedback in order to validate company roadmap •Provide ongoing visibility of roadmap/GTM plans to trusted customers and partners to ensure buy in and ownership •Using client feedback, build comprehensive business cases to justify the investment in the product and new business solutions •Produce detailed product specifications for the Engineering/development team to work with including time and budget the projections agreed beforehand with the team •Define and assist in processes to help the product team prioritise additional road map elements and changes |

Experience working with iterative development methodologies ; Agile, Scrum Experience creating and managing SW development teams: Design,coding and QA Fluent English Disponibilidad para viajar al RU habitualmente Buenos conocimientos de arquitectura y en particular experiencia con sistemas que accedan a bases de datos pesadas (queries complejas sobre bases de datos grandes) |
