Descripción de la oferta: As an integral part of the Site Management Team (SMT) provide key leadership and input in planning, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction, and start-up of the projects to deliver high quality, low cost and reliable power generation that meet or exceed proforma requirements.
Reports to the Project Director as an integral member of the Spain Solar Engineering & Construction Project encompassing over ¾ billion Euro spend and liaise with the Site and Project Managers.
Assure that the execution work is done in a timely manner so the projects are able to be certified and can be paid at the tariff specified under the royal decree.
Effectively demonstrates ability to align with business objectives and enlist commitment from other departments and organizations to produce desired results.
Ensure project compliance with all regulatory requirements pertinent to the project.
Provide a project team environment that embraces innovation and change as a healthy source of opportunity; generate new ideas and approaches to solve problems and create business opportunities while maximizing resources.
Accomplish the timely completion of the project and in compliance with the technical specifications and valid requirements established by the Engineering & Construction Division in conjunction with Power Generation operating philosophy.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures, as a part of the SMT, on-time completion of all project accountabilities including but not limited to operating performance in reliability/availability, Output, Ramp Rates, SU/SD time, O&M cost, fuel, water, major maintenance, capital cost and construction schedule.
- Conduct business through a comprehensive understanding of how plants are constructed, operated and maintained and the ability to effectively identify, prevent, mitigate or resolve critical issues that will impact cost and performance.
- Foster an integrated highly productive site engineering and construction team of employees, project specialists and contractors and effectively leverage limited resources.
- Offer process focused, disciplined direction to the site execution team during the construction phase of projects thru effective deployment of engineering and construction technical standards.
- Demonstrates a bias for action, proposes timely decisions and takes actions with an uncompromising commitment to maintain excellence in technical/functional accountability.
- Utilize ability to effectively and constructively challenge status quo, recognize value drivers, and lead the drive to maximize value and quality in technical/operational awareness.
- Makes reports for upper management regarding site activities progress and ensures effective reporting regarding contractual project controls requirements.


Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Ingeniero Superior
Experiencia mínima: Más de 5 años
Requisitos mínimos: -Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or demonstrable equivalent and 10 years of experience in the construction and commissioning of steam power generating plants and solar thermal facilities, at least 5 of which have been in key management positions with authority and accountability for results.
-Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
-Ability to travel and spend project construction period at the project site in Spain.
-Experience in a continuous process type industry (like petro-chemical or steel) may be substituted for power generation.
-Experience in contract administration, power plant operations and project execution.
-Demonstrated commercial skills based on successful negotiations of Engineering and Construction contracts in Spain. Knowledge of US project execution and performance culture.
-Experience working in Spain in the Engineering and Construction fields.
Requisitos deseados: -The ideal candidate has managed construction, at site, for a minimum of two large, complex power generating projects to successful completion, and has had experience in several different power plant technologies.
- Experience or training in plant operations is a plus.
- Established leadership skills with a proven track record in leading a site construction team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to handle multiple demands and inputs from various levels.
