This is a Senior position and salary with benefits will reflect that Primary Skills: Windows 2008/2003, Active Directory, MS-Exchange, Networking Protocols, Microsoft Velocity & MSMQ Network Windows Engineer Job Description: Reporting to the Operations Manager this individual will be responsible for the operation and administration for all the companies’ internal systems, from servers, clients, email and intrusion detection systems. Communication, flexibility and a desire to learn will need to be key aspects of your personality. The ability to deal with support issues in a professional and courteous manner is a must. Duties and Responsibilities •Adding new functionality and building infrastructure to meet increasing production demand for performance and scalability •Configuration and set-up of all IT infrastructures. •Monitoring and resolving hardware, software and networking issues as they arise. •Administration of email filtering including firewall administration. •Assist in any IT projects and rollouts when necessary. •Prepare and adhere to annual IT budget. Technical Requirements •Good working knowledge of the following operating systems:-. Windows 2008R2 Server, Windows 2003 Server, Exchange, Windows 2000/XP/Vista/W7 Client Operating Systems. •A good knowledge of Active Directory administration, MS Office applications. •Proven knowledge of windows networking, including switches (3Com), firewalls (Zyxel), TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP. •Internet routing hierarchy, domain names and address resolution, protocol stacks, HTTP, SMTP, TCP network peering, public and private IPs. •An understanding of IIS and SQL Server would be an advantage. |
