Descripción de la oferta: Due to the expansion of our office in Asturias, Spain, CSC is seeking for Mainframe Operator and Scheduling positions
The recruited person will be in charge of the following main tasks:

Mainframe Scheduling Specialist:
- Rerun/restart/complete failed job
- Restart suite of jobs from particular point
- Monitor runs
- Add in single appl or group of appls
- Understand use of periods/offsets/Rule Base processing for scheduling appls/group appls
- Execution/maintenance of test RPFs
- Read, write & where applicable, correct/amend JCL

Mainframe Operator:
- Monitoring, operating and ensuring of the efficiency and availability of the Mainframe platform
- Executing of periodic checks according to checklists
- Initiating of necessary activities to avoid or resolve problems
- Identifying disruptions relating to the availability of the resources, the performance situation and the efficiency of processes and applications
- Planning and attendance at disaster recovery activities as well as ensuring of the efficiency after these activities
- Creating and maintaining instructions, tutorials and training programs
- Responsible for the reporting of the platform qualitiy
- Planning and coordination of upgradings


Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Formación Profesional Grado Superior
Experiencia mínima: Al menos 1 año
Requisitos mínimos: Mainframe Scheduling: 1 year of mainframe scheduling experience
Mainframe Operator: 1/2 years experience providing Mainframe support
English high level
MVS operating systems (Z/OS)
