| Descripción de la oferta: | Participates in projects to improve plant quality (vigor, health and condition) and efficiencies of the nursery operations in Southern-Europe. Assist in planning the propagation of commercial nurseries, which may include communicating planting densities, communicate phytosanitary measures to be taken, communicate timing and quantities of fertilizers, spraying of pesticides, collaborate with nursery staff to develop monthly estimations, evaluate if plants are adequately dormant prior to lifting, assisting in quality control of plants, aid in setting up new nursery locations, and evaluating fruiting farms when there is a possible plant issue with plants sourced from our nursery program. Participate and share information in Nursery Technical Meetings in order to increase nursery technology in Driscoll’s Nursery Program. Participate in annual visits growers make to commercial nurseries working with Driscoll’s. Participates in grower meetings and some grower visits in Southern-Europe and Morocco to evaluate how the plants from different nurseries perform. Build and develop relationships with all employees currently and to be arriving into Driscoll’s nursery program. Some travelling will be involved in which employee will spend time away from home. |

| Requisitos mínimos: | Education & Training required: • Bachelor of Science degree in horticultural science or related discipline. • Computer spreadsheet skills Work experience required: Candidate needs at least a minimum of one year work experience in agricultural production sector. Work experience related to nursery programs in Europe not essential, but favorable. Languages & Competencies: • Good command of English both in writing as in speech is a requirement for this position. Any other European language is a distinct advantage. • Methodical in recording data • Excellent communication skills |
