Electricista

Onshore Power Supply Connections Technician

PowerCon is the market leader in the design, construction and operation of OPS systems feeding grid electricity to the largest ships docked in the most important international ports.

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team and develop its skills to perform and assume the responsibility of ship connection from our OPS substations in different terminals of the Port of Barcelona.

Minimum requirements:

·Professional with at least 3 years of experience with electromechanical systems.

- Oficial electricista de primera

· Strong awareness of electrical risks and good physical condition.

· Fluent English and Spanish. Catalan will also be appreciated.

Valuable experience:

- Installation and/or maintenance of MV power lines, industrial electrical panels and other components of the system.

·Industrial, port or onboard ship electrical work experience

·Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, control and communication systems

·Continuous improvement reporting

·Teamwork

Relevant Qualifications

·Formal qualifications - FP Grado superior o ingeniero técnico eléctrico

·Basic preventative resource certificate

·Forklift operator certificate

·Driving licence- Own vehicle

Job characteristics

·Permanent position.

·Full worktime flexibility needed to attend service demands, but freedom for own management of the rest of the time.

·On call for schedule services that demand full availability in a 30min radius from the Port of Barcelona.

·High responsibility tasks with strict observation of safety rules and follow methodically work procedures.

·Simple reporting and strong support from the rest of the technical team always available.

·During relatively short time periods hard physical exertion will be needed on the quayside under any weather condition.
