Job Title: Cloud Ops Engineer (Azure focused infrastruture)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the technical requirements of business projects, collaborating with cloud providers, and creating and managing CI/CD projects. This role involves setting up monitoring tools, establishing alert rules, and defining standards and guidelines to ensure a unified approach across all projects.

The engineer will participate in the entire project lifecycle, script and build cloud infrastructure, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot performance issues, enforce security policies, and document technical processes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate with agency cloud providers to define and meet technical project needs.
- Design, create, and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for solution delivery.
- Implement and oversee monitoring tools and alert systems to maintain operational excellence.
- Develop and enforce standards and guidelines to achieve a consistent approach across projects.
- Engage in all phases of project lifecycles, contributing to both strategy and execution.
- Script and construct cloud infrastructure based on architectural designs.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for complex technical issues.
- Resolve performance and operational challenges to ensure system reliability.
- Establish and enforce security policies, reporting any potential risks.
- Document technical knowledge and processes in detailed notes and manuals.


REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or DevOps, with a focus on deploying and maintaining multi-tiered application architectures.

- Expertise in public cloud platforms, specifically Azure, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including familiarity with Nexus, Maven, NPM, and similar tools.

- A track record of successful automation implementations.

- Excellent command of the English language, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Capability to build and manage secure, manageable containerized clusters.

- Advanced skills in troubleshooting and multitasking.

- At least 3 years of substantial experience in a DevOps-centric role.

- Scripting proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, Python, Shell/Bash etc.

- Understanding of Azure data services like Azure Service Bus, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure API Management, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Mesh principles is advantageous.
