As a Cloud Architect for T Cloud Public, you will shape the next generation of our public cloud by enhancing and evolving the physical and virtual networking layers of our OpenStack-based platform. Your responsibilities include: Designing, operating, and further developing OpenStack-based network services on the T Cloud Public platform in close collaboration with vendors and internal experts. Planning and driving automation initiatives using modern frameworks to improve reliability and speed. Enhancing the platform’s network architecture with strong focus on IT security and robustness. Working closely with specialists across the Deutsche Telekom Group on topics related to public cloud and open-source technologies. Preparing technical materials, presenting architectural concepts, and advising management on strategic technology decisions. Acting as a senior architect within an agile squad — supporting, mentoring, and guiding colleagues as part of everyday work. Qualifications Must-have requirements Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject — or equivalent professional training. 3–5 years of professional experience in IT with strong exposure to modern cloud technologies. Deep knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures. Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Strong knowledge of Python programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms Strong customer orientation and the ability to understand real-world use cases. Knowledge of agile development methods and experience working in agile teams. Mentoring, presentation, and communication skills — you can explain complex concepts clearly. Ability to evaluate technical solutions and propose creative, future-proof approaches. OpenStack knowledge and open-source programming experience are strong pluses.
