We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. We own the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation, providing intelligence with unmatched quality, latency, and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. As a global scale-up, we combine speed and ambition with the opportunity to take real ownership from day one. Your growth, wellbeing, and success are a priority, with continuous professional development and a culture where collaboration is how we win. Why this role matters: As the CNC and Workshop Assistant on the HAPS team, you'll help keep our manufacturing and lab operations running smoothly — setting up CNC machines and workshop equipment, keeping our growing fleet of machines and 3D printers in good working order, and ensuring incoming materials move quickly and reliably from the loading dock to the right shelf. As our lab and workshop grow, this role keeps everything organised, available, and ready to use, so engineers and technicians can focus on building rather than searching, fixing, or waiting. Who We Are: ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, delivering persistent monitoring to detect and respond to changes anywhere on Earth. We own the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation, providing unmatched quality, latency, and revisit times in any weather, day or night — including sovereign systems for governments who operate their own constellation. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management, enabling fast decisions for a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities: Machine set up and auxiliary work: Prepare and set up CNC machines and workshop equipment for jobs, including tooling changes, fixturing, and auxiliary tasks that keep machines running efficiently. Maintenance operations: Carry out monthly maintenance and corrective actions on manufacturing machines and the lab's 3D printers, and manage purchasing of in-house servicing parts as the equipment fleet grows. Receiving, distribution and assembly: Receive incoming goods (pallets, boxes, etc.), unpack, and place items on correct shelving. Workshop order and team support: Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop, and provide hands-on support to manufacturing, engineering, and lab teams as needed. What we're looking for Must haves: Hands-on experience operating, setting up, or maintaining CNC machines or similar workshop equipment Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools and workshop equipment Organised, detail-oriented approach to inventory, logistics, and shelving/storage systems Good command of English, oral and written Nice to haves: Experience with 3D printer setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting Experience with preventive/corrective maintenance on workshop or manufacturing machinery Experience with goods receiving, parts purchasing, or basic inventory/stockroom management Experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or engineering teams in a fast-moving environment Proactive, can-do attitude and ownership of workshop order and upkeep Curiosity and passion for technology and hands-on building How We Work (Our Values) Make the impossible possible: We set ambitious goals, stay calm under pressure, and bring grit, optimism, and ownership when things get hard. Be curious: Go deep, ask questions, listen carefully, think critically, and understand the "why" behind decisions. See the big picture: Stay close to what's happening across the company to make better decisions and consider how your work affects others. Drive effective teamwork: Create psychological safety, invite different perspectives, and build inclusive teams — no bad questions. Act as one team: We win together, matching tasks to the right owner and staying agile as priorities shift. Have fun: Celebrate progress, take pride in results, and share the wins.
