Supply Chain Specialist | Valencia, Spain

About ICEYE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. We own the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation, providing intelligence with unmatched quality, latency, and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation, we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.

Our constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1,000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Why this role matters
This is not a buying job. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you play a vital role in keeping ICEYE's satellite production on schedule. Every launch depends on flight-critical hardware arriving on time and to specification. In a supply chain where delays affect active defence and disaster response operations globally, there is no margin for error. This is a strategic function that links engineering requirements to supplier reality and keeps the world's most advanced SAR constellation in the air.

Your responsibilities

  • Source and manage highly specialised, low-volume, high-reliability components across a supplier base with limited alternatives, balancing engineering change with supply chain stability
  • Translate engineering requirements into sourcing strategies, RFQs, and supplier evaluations, challenging specifications where needed and owning the commercial strategy end-to-end
  • Qualify suppliers and conduct risk assessments for space-grade components, mitigating long lead times, geopolitical risks, and supplier concentration
  • Support rapid production scaling in Valencia while maintaining strict quality and mission assurance standards
  • Act as the bridge between highly technical engineering requirements and commercial realities, interfacing with engineering and production teams

What we're looking for
Must have:

  • Working understanding of core engineering concepts including voltage, current, power, torque, thrust, system margins, composite materials, and mechanics
  • Ability to interpret and challenge technical specifications and mechanical drawings
  • Experience sourcing flight-critical hardware for space or high-reliability applications
  • Experience sourcing structural or mechanical components such as brackets, housings, mechanisms, and fasteners
  • Familiarity with precision machining, CNC, and sheet metal supply chains
  • Proven experience in supplier qualification and risk assessment for high-reliability components
  • Contracting, cost analysis, and lifecycle management experience in technically complex categories
  • Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with flight hardware, control systems, mechanics, and composite materials supply chains
  • Experience supporting production scaling in a fast-growing, technology-driven company
  • Comfortable operating within an international, multi-jurisdiction supplier ecosystem
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, electronics, or carbon fibre manufacturing

Working at ICEYE
You'll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible. As a global scale-up, we combine speed and ambition with the opportunity to take real ownership from day one. Your growth, wellbeing, and success are a priority, with continuous professional development and a culture where collaboration is how we win.
