About the role: As an Installation Technician you will fit frames, brackets, mobile shelving units, workstations and related equipment, carrying out electromechanical assembly to build units from components such as PC boards, fabricated and machined metals and cable harnesses. You will work as part of a site team to deliver each installation safely and to a high standard. Tareas/Responsabilidades: - Desarrollo del trabajo de ingeniero de mantenimiento del dpto. E&C. de fábrica de papel bajo los parámetros definidos de Seguridad, Medioambiente y Calidad - Aportación y desarrollo del conocimiento avanzado y mejora continua de manera proactiva para incremento de la eficiencia de los sistemas E&C en planta. - Definición y seguimiento de las actividades de mantenimiento de los equipos E&C bajo su responsabilidad; acciones correctivas, preventivas y predictivas, planificación de paradas de mantenimiento, pruebas de repuestos y dirección de recursos contratados. - Soporte a los ingenieros de producción para la operación y mantenimiento de forma correcta y segura de las instalaciones. - Formación continua del resto del departamento E&C en los sistemas bajo su responsabilidad para asegurar la eficiencia de las líneas. - Desarrollo del plan anual de inversiones que le sea asignado. About the role: As Maintenance Director you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the operational maintenance management (preventive and corrective) of two the hotels in Jamaica. What will your key responsibilities be? - Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the two hotels, covering electrical, mechanical, plumbing, equipment and facilities. - Define, prepare and control the annual maintenance budget, including operating expenses and investment proposals. - Ensure the implementation and monitoring of maintenance manuals, standards, policies, processes and systems across all assigned hotels. - Coordinate the maintenance plan based on asset inventory, lifecycle tracking, incident management and risk mapping. - Lead and monitor maintenance projects and technical interventions in coordination with hotel operations, procurement and other departments. - Ensure alignment between maintenance activities and hotel operations, optimizing service continuity and guest satisfaction. - Oversee maintenance teams, planning schedules, managing incidents and ensuring adequate coverage across properties. - Monitor operational KPIs and maintenance performance indicators to guarantee quality, service levels, cost control and sustainability objectives. - Coordinate training, communication and continuous improvement initiatives related to health & safety, risk prevention and environmental standards. - Manage inventories of tools, materials, equipment and spare parts to ensure operational readiness across the hotels. - Supervise and coordinate external service providers and contractors, ensuring compliance with technical, quality and corporate standards. - Prepare and present maintenance management reports (operational, financial and KPI-based) on a regular basis. - Support internal and external audits, ensuring traceability, accuracy and compliance with corporate requirements. - Act as the main maintenance reference point for hotel operations. What are we looking for? - University degree in Engineering or similar; postgraduate studies in Industrial or Hotel Maintenance are an asset. - 5–7 years of experience in international hotel maintenance management at complex or multi-property level. - Proven experience (2–3 years) managing teams and maintenance budgets. - Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, equipment and facilities. - Solid understanding of hotel operations and project management. - Fluent in Spanish and English. - Proficient in office tools and management systems (financial, maintenance and hotel management systems). - Strong leadership, strategic mindset and decision-making capabilities. - Results-oriented, customer-focused and able to work effectively in cross-cultural environments. Your mission: During the internship, the candidate will support the engineering team in the design and technical assessment of renewable energy and battery storage projects, gaining practical experience in utility-scale energy infrastructure. Key activities: Supporting the development of internal Excel-based tools aimed at improving the efficiency of the engineering team, including templates for electrical calculations, preliminary technical assessments and engineering checks. Supporting the review of third-party engineering documentation, both at basic and detailed design level, related to medium- and high-voltage electrical systems of photovoltaic plants, wind farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This includes becoming familiar with electrical calculations, system configurations and regulatory compliance. Assisting in the preliminary sizing and basic design of overhead and underground electrical lines as well as transformer substations, while learning how to estimate budgets for electrical infrastructure. Contributing to the preparation and review of technical documentation required for grid access and connection applications submitted to Transmission System Operators and Distribution System Operators. Participating in the review of electrical single-line diagrams for low, medium and high voltage systems, including plant grid connection schemes, protection systems, transformers, metering equipment and auxiliary services. Supporting the development of basic designs for battery energy storage systems (BESS) associated with renewable plants. This includes exposure to BESS sizing methodologies, technology selection, and the modeling of hybrid renewable-plus-storage plants. Participating in the continuous improvement of internal engineering tools, gathering feedback from the team and implementing enhancements to increase usability and accuracy. Collaborating in the identification of potential improvements in the design, operation and maintenance of energy storage systems. Assisting in the development and maintenance of internal design standards and technical guidelines for BESS projects. Your profile Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Currently finishing a Master’s degree (Renewable Energy, Industrial Engineering or related). Other Values: English and Spanish (full professional proficiency). Additional languages are a plus. Desired Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Excel or programming tools would be desirable. Why us?
