At Costco, we're looking for someone to work as a Quality Manager for our business in Spain and France to oversees and directs the QA team in both countries in supporting and complying with current regulations applicable to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)/retail from a quality perspective. Your main duties and responsibilities include the following: ¿ Develops, coaches, counsels and directs the QA team of Spain and France. Monitors employee performance. Provides proactive feedback to promote teamwork and accountability among employees. Participates in the employment process by making recommendations for hiring, promotion and termination. Responds to employee concerns using problem solving skills, tact and discretion in accordance with the Costco Employee Agreement and other applicable regulations. Approves timecards and other reports. ¿ Supervises the QA & Compliance team, as well as third parties, in the correct management of department activities. ¿ Leads and participates in local and global team meetings and conference calls. ¿ Budgets, tracks and reports expenses for QA & Compliance projects. ¿ Prepares, reviews, and monitors product labeling and laboratory reports in accordance with current regulations and Costco policies. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of labeling standard regulations. ¿ Manages and supervises audits, both in warehouses and supplier facilities, through visits to collect test samples. ¿ Interacts with health authorities in all related to food safety and non-food regulatory compliance. ¿ Supporting the buying team when necessary to visit vendor plants and assessing and giving counselling on the facilities and other QA & Compliance topics that may arise. ¿ Supervises and inspects in-house production rooms, prepares reports, and proposes corrective actions and training. ¿ Collaborates with the buying department to monitor the import process so that products comply with legislation. Maintains contact with the QA division at Costco headquarters. ¿ Controls documentation and prepares environmental declarations. ¿ Ensures, together with the warehouse and buying teams, the removal of non-compliant products and manages the documentation and communications resulting from this process. Reporting of all anomalies immediately to the executive management team. ¿ Provides technical support to buying departments regarding product legislation and participates in supplier meetings. ¿ Prepares required documentation for new licenses related to product categories. ¿ Reviews and updates HACCP-related regulations. ¿ Supervises and updates procedures within the quality area. ¿ Reports to Seattle on all aspects related to the quality department. ¿ Assist in other areas of the department and other departments of the company when necessary. What will the role entail?Lead and manage all labour relations activities for the group of companies. Act as the primary liaison with trade unions and employee representatives, ensuring constructive and collaborative communication. Participate in sectoral collective bargaining processes, including representation at industry-wide negotiation tables. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to work both at a high level and hands-on in operational matters. Adavanced english level. High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information.
