Let's connect: Join our TD16 Caribbean department in Hanover, Germany, on a permanent basis at the earliest possible date as an Underwriter with Spanish Language Skills / Suscriptor/a con conocimientos de español. The Caribbean Treaty Underwriting team manages facultative property and casualty reinsurance business across the English- and Spanish-speaking Caribbean. As part of Hannover Re's North American Treaty Division, the team is responsible for underwriting activities as well as the further development of the business throughout the region. Underwriter with Spanish Skills / Suscriptor/a con conocimientos de español You can look forward to -Managing Caribbean property and casualty reinsurance business -Analyzing reinsurance submissions, assessing associated risks, calculating appropriate premiums, and making final underwriting decisions for property and casualty risks -Handling related administrative tasks, including correspondence with brokers and clients in both Spanish and English -Analyzing and evaluating primary insurance markets and relevant market participants -Maintaining existing client relationships and developing new contacts through occasional business travel as well as participation in industry events -Conducting on-site marketing activities with clients and brokers You come equipped with -A completed degree in economics, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or a comparable field of study -Several years of professional experience in the (re)insurance industry, preferably in underwriting, or experience as a broker -IT affinity and confident use of MS Excel; knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage -Spanish language skills at C2 level and English language skills at a minimum of C1 level, along with a willingness to acquire basic German language skills -Willingness to travel for business (approx. 2-4 times per year) to the Caribbean for client visits and market events; travel can be arranged flexibly within the team -Strong decision-making skills and the ability to confidently handle complex issues to support sound underwriting decisions -High adaptability to changing market and business conditions in an international environment -Excellent communication skills and strong relationship-building abilities to collaborate effectively with international clients and brokers Don't meet all the requirements? Mission: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing end to end client projects for the showroom (including kitchens, furniture, and bespoke solutions) from the initial brief to final handover, ensuring technical viability, flawless execution, adherence to deadlines, and outstanding client satisfaction. Proven experience of at least 4 years dealing with end customers and/or working in showroom environments. International experience and work on high end projects will be valued. Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities and confidence in engaging with clients. Excellent organisation and planning skills, able to handle multiple projects at once. Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments (sales, production, logistics, installation and after sales). Strong problem-solving skills, with a practical and solution-oriented approach. Advanced proficiency in design and project-management tools (CAD or other technical software). You'll be responsible for the accurate recording, control and monitoring of our day-to-day accounting operations — invoices, reconciliations, monthly closings — working closely with internal teams and external advisors. Your work directly contributes to the reliability of XFuel's financial information and the smooth functioning of our Accounting & Finance team.
