To support this ambition, we are looking to expand our team by hiring an HSE Officer / Occupational Health & Safety Officer for our projects in Jamaica. What will your mission be? Occupational Health & Safety Management Implement and monitor the occupational health and safety system at the plants, ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal procedures and continuous improvement standards. Risk Prevention at Plant Level Identify risks, carry out inspections and audits, and prepare preventive documentation such as JHAs, special work permits, procedures and corrective action plans. Training and Awareness Identify training needs, train personnel in safety, emergency response, equipment use and PPE, and deliver Tool Box Talks based on the risks detected at the plants. Emergency Management Design and implement the Emergency Response Plan, coordinate drills, review detection and fire-fighting systems, and provide support during emergency situations. Legal Compliance and Liaison with Authorities Act as the point of contact with local authorities on EHS matters, support official inspections, prepare the required documentation and assist HR with workplace accident notifications, occupational case follow-up and record keeping. Incident Investigation and Reporting Report incidents, investigate root causes, propose preventive and corrective actions, and prepare technical and follow-up reports according to plant requirements. Improvement of Working Conditions Implement improvements in signage, PPE use, preventive controls and safety measures in line with applicable regulations and company standards.
